The Joint Materials Contract originated from a Wimmera Regional Library joint contract, which came under the auspices of MurrayLink in 1998, and was tendered in various forms until 2004, when suppliers began restricting discount levels, and the amount of positives did not justify the amount of contract management work required.

MurrayLink Network services
The original idea for Murray Link grew out of a desire to enable searching of member catalogues. The advent of the Internet and new technology has now led the MurrayLink group of libraries to provide an effective network amongst members.

Murray River Roving Talking Books
A cooperative grant submission led to the establishment of a roving collection of audio books. This enables member libraries to refresh their collection annually with 300 titles, and is now self-sustaining.
